I actually just bought a bike on Friday -- my legs are killing me -- and although I technically still own my car (Toyota Matrix, got about 35+ MPG) -- (until the lien release from Toyota Financial arrives) in practical terms, I am completely vehicle-less, and free of worry over gas prices (unless the fare for the shuttle from the Metro station to work goes up).
